Yosemite Elopement // Daniel and Sandy’s wedding weekend was filled with love, adventure, and beauty. First of all, if you haven’t been to Yosemite, you really need to go! It is breathtaking. The valley is filled with lush landscape, a flowing river, and serene meadows. Wildlife sightings may include deer, bears, mountain lions and bighorn sheep. The jaw dropping rock formations tower over the valley providing the most majestic views. The vibe is laid back, active and immersed in nature. People love to rock climb, hike, and ride bikes. Some of our favorite landmarks include Tunnel View, Bridal veil falls, El Capitan, and half dome. When Daniel and Sandy decided on a Yosemite Elopement, we knew it would be an unforgettable celebration of love!

The couple invited their family and friends up to Yosemite to campout for a few nights before the wedding. This was a great opportunity for loved ones to visit Yosemite and explore the Valley. On Sunday morning, waking up much before the sunrise, Daniel began to get ready by lantern light. Sandy was stationed in a nearby RV for her prep time. When the time came, we all drove to taft point for the 1 mile hike to the ceremony location. Sandy stayed a little behind so she would not be seen by her groom.

Our walk to Taft point was a special time. A time to dwell in the beauty of nature, taking in the sights and smells. Also, it was a time to back in the love and support from closest family and friends who were joining them on this journey. As everyone gathered near the cliffs overlooking the Valley, Sandy made her way to her groom. I love the metaphor they painted that morning, making a momentous decision and commitment overlooking a monumental landscape. An epic start to their marriage. Afterwards, we trekked back through the forest, stopping along the way to document love and beauty.

There are multiple locations throughout the valley to get married, including the featured Taft Point. Stayed tuned for more from Brett and Tori on How to Elope in Yosemite. We are available to help you plan your dream Yosemite Elopement. We can help plan your full wedding timeline with guidance on timing, location and travels.
