Desert Camper Van Engagement Shoot // We LOVED this shoot! It wasn’t the location (but it was super rad), it wasn’t the lighting (but that turned out totally awesome too), it was Dan and Erin. Dan and Erin were truly themselves, they chose a shoot that would showcase who they really are. One thing they really enjoy is taking their camper van out on adventures, so it was decided, a camping engagement shoot! Brett and I walked up to greet them after we had arrived at the location, and they were comfortable in their environment, drinking a beer, and cheating at dominos, haha! Of course, once we put our camera up to our faces, they were less relaxed, but only for a second, and we were able to quickly regain that comfort and embark on a journey together. And that’s our job, to help you to be true, to capture the real you at this stage of your journey, but we can’t do it alone. We need help from our couples, couples like Erin and Dan. They trusted us and were willing to be vulnerable with each other, which opened the door for some deep connection, authentic moments and incredible photos. We captured them, who they are, right now, and that is priceless. As photographers, we have the opportunity to deeply connect with our couples, build relationships, and create an experience more valuable than just a photoshoot. We get to document beautiful people committing their lives to one another and provide with them with priceless images to last a lifetime and more. In 20 years, Erin and Dan can look back at these photos and remember the fun adventure, but they will also be able to see how much they’ve grown together. They will remember the strong foundation on which they built their love, a love that continued to grow and blossom.
